  16. MainActor (the commercial Broadcast version and, I think, its original
  17. shareware incarnation) supports the creation and playback of AVIs. xanim is
  18. probably faster for playback, though, and supports many more AVI subtypes.

  22. Shouldn't be too bad. I get reasonable playback speed in greyscale using xanim
  23. on an ECS machine w/40MHz '030. I'd guess the rate determining step when
  24. playing back in colour would be the chunky to planar conversion.
